at the movies

With his friends Owen and Tristan, Elliott checked out the documentary, Babies, as his first movie. He sat on my lap for the first 20 minutes, then walked around, played, ate, and sometimes sat still for the rest of the movie. Luckily, the theater was filled with lots of other babies for the Rattle and Reel screening so it was no big deal.

We have awesome friends

So far since Elliott has been born (and even before, actually) we've been the recipients of many boxes of hand-me-down clothes, shoes, toys, books, and on and on. We have very generous friends. We only feel bad because we don't really have anyone to pass much of it on to at the moment.

However, our neighbor "C" and her son "J" have been easily among the most generous. In addition to tons of clothes, Elliott's play yard (see in many pics on this blog) was from them and is one of his favorite things ever. But they recently went over the top by giving Elliott this kitchen, which he is obsessed with. He loves the sink, the doors, and all the food that came with it. He also spends a lot of time walking around the house "drinking" the ketchup, the mustard, and the maple syrup.

Outside!

Our co-op just built a nice new deck on the back of the building that we can use on nice days. Even though the weather has been surprisingly chilly lately, it's great to have someplace to go and get some fresh air without always walking all the way to the park. We have this red tote bag that Amy's parents brought back from Hong Kong that we keep a ball and a couple toy cars in. Even though we have only been out to the deck a few times, Elliott already knows what the bag means, and when we get it out he starts to go crazy, pointing at it and wanting to carry it and walking over to the front door and pointing at the doorknob. I guess he likes going outside.

I'm the Eggman, driving around, egging the town...

Elliott got these toy eggs from Sam and Otis for his birthday. He's obsessed with them. I'm obsessed with this picture.

Horsey

Elliott has a new rocking horse. Well, actually, it's not new. It was his mom's rocking horse when she was his age (still intact, except for the handle, which had to be replaced). He doesn't really seem to care too much about riding it yet, per se, but he really enjoys getting on and off it, over and over again.
