the week in review

Elliott went to the doctor's office on Wednesday and is over his birth weight! He went from 6 lbs, 9 ounces a week ago to 7 lbs, 3 ounces. His birth weight was 6 lbs, 13 ounces. Since he had only gained 3 ounces in the previous week (the dr said he might be a slow gainer), we were both relieved that he made it past his birth weight. Plus, he grew half an inch. He already feels much heavier and stronger so hopefully we can keep up the feedings and he'll keep gaining and growing.

In other news, he's starting to pick his head up! Yesterday morning, he was lying on Donovan's chest and he lifted his head a little bit.
