Elliott is 10 months old today!

In honor of Elliott's 10 month birthday I wanted to post a few of my favorite shots of him from the last few weeks that didn't make it into other posts. We didn't do much to celebrate today -- Mom and Dad took him to an event in Long Island City where we ate a bunch of free and very tasty food. Elliott did get his first taste of apple juice, though, and he seemed pretty smitten with it. His other favorite thing seemed to be watching the drummer of the jazz combo that was playing.

But enough of that, the part you've been waiting for: more pictures...

Trying to stay warm after being out in the big NYC blizzard. So many snowflakes to watch!!

Hanging out with Auntie Melissa in Philly. Thanks for the puppets!!

Enjoying a teething biscuit and staying up too late in Connecticut while Mom and Dad got some dinner. Just look at those eyes!! That kid needs to go to sleep. What kind of parents are we?

Wrestling with his youngest cousin Hayley. Elliott's three older cousins love him to pieces and also taught him all kinds of bad tricks!

Sacked out. Tired from too much traveling. It's been nice to stay close to home for the last couple of weeks.

Elliott's new year's resolution is to post more pictures on his blog

After Christmas it was off to Philly for a little work, a little play and a lot of cold weather. Elliott was pretty impressed by the Philly Doubletree. He didn't like that the bar closed at 11 though.

Back at home Elliott is all about feeding himself these days. Pictured: Acorn Squash (?)

The kitchen has presented a whole new world of fun, including spoons, mixing bowls, tupperware, drawers and doors.

Oh, and standing is now a hands-free undertaking.

More Xmas pics

After opening gifts, Elliott got his first piano lesson. He's a natural.

A few days later it was off to Kansas for Xmas #2. Lots of good stuff hauled in but Elliott's fave was of course his own sock.

Elliott's first Christmas, part 1

Today was Little E's first Christmas in Connecticut. And, actually, first Christmas ever. We'll have another one in Kansas next week but this one was good practice.

First, there was the stocking. Elliott didn't get any stamps but he did get some teething biscuits, a wooden car, and the egg shaker that he loves from music class.

Elliott's big gift was a new car seat. Since he probably doesn't care that much we figured he might like the box. Seems we were right.

Smallest Santa ever.

A recycling truck!

A new hat just like dad's!

Uncle William sent a talking alphabet wheel that was a big hit.

Zoey and Elliott wish you all a merry Chistmas!

Holiday Fesivities

We had a big weekend of socializing and errands. Elliott was pretty much a trooper, despite the rain and cold, except for a small crying fit on the way home Sunday night. But, by then I wanted to cry too. On Saturday night we had an impromptu dinner with the Larrymoyers at Sidecar. It used to be that A seemed so much bigger than Elliott -- it's weird how much they start catching up to one another after a while.

Saturday we saw E and E's new apartment with the fancy views and then had a yummy brunch. Elliott wanted the Juevos but had applesauce and sweet potato instead.

Afterwards we did some Xmas shopping. I guess the first Xmas is the only time you can take a kid shopping for their own gifts. Although from this photo he looks like he might realize what's up....

Elliott's first snow

You can't see it in the picture but while we were walking into the apartment yesterday the rain turned to snow. Pretty exciting stuff.

Tool time with Elliott and Malcolm

I kind of felt like a visitor at Santa's workshop, watching some little elves make Christmas presents.
